We went to our good friend Amy's today to do some crafty stuff. Michaela had a super meltdown while we were there, but calmed down and we had a good morning. Until we left. As we were getting ready to leave, she started up again. I managed to get her in her carseat while she was still screaming and thrashing around, but then as we were driving away she was crying so hard that she gagged and threw up. Then she started crying again and gagged and threw up again. Then a third time, this time all of her lunch came up too.
We got home and I took Rafael inside (he was screaming too because he hates the sound of Michaela's cries), then went and got Michaela and carried her into the bathroom. I closed the door and left her in there while I went to close the garage door, because I didn't want her to get throwup everywhere.
When I came back inside, I went to open the door and I couldn't. It. Was. Locked. Oh boy. Luckily I was able to open it and get to Michaela who was thrashing around on the floor and still screaming. However, now she had a huge angry welt on her head. Oy.
I stripped us both down, got a bath ready and tried to get the vomit off her as best I could without drowning her as she continued screaming and throwing herself around. I managed to get her cleaned, dried off and dressed in new clothes and then held her for 45 minutes until she finally calmed down. I put her down for her nap and then spent the next 30 minutes calming down Rafael who had been screaming the whole time.
Now he's asleep and I have to go scrub down the carseat, wash the vomit off her clothes, the carpet, the walls, and the bathroom.
I don't even have words for what I'm feeling right now.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry. But if it helps any it is really funny from my perspective. . . over here at my house far from the vomit. : )
Hang in there. You will look back one day and read this and laugh.
Oh honey - I'm so sorry! I can wake Savannah up and we can be over in about 5 minutes. Does my friend need a hug? Love you!!
-Amy
You don't know me, but I feel your pain. I have an almost 2 year old girl who goes insane. She screams and screams. Not in pain just angry. I've tried just about everything to get her to stop. Ignoring, offering her anything within reach, holding her. Nothing! She also vomits when she cry-screams. She has had a runny nose and a cough for a few days now and today when she hurled it was mostly mucus. How much fun can one mom handle?! Ha. It doesn't last forever, right? Right?! Please?!
Just remember you are not alone.
*hugs* I think we all have those days. so sorry.
It really doesn't last forever. I know you feel like this may never end, but it will! She will grow out of this, she will go back to resembeling that sweet child that you once knew. I know it's hard to believe it now, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Naomi still has tantrums sometimes, but she's good for the most part, and she tells me that she loves me all the time. I'm here for you if you ever need to talk, or need some babysitting so you can gather your sanity again.
