Family Moment Monday-Go Fly a Kite!

Motherhood for Dummies hosts Family Moment Mondays, check her out to get more ideas on how to spend time together as a family!

As summer draws to a close the weather (at least here in New Mexico) is starting to bring us cooler temperatures and more breezes. One fun way to get the most out of these days is to go fly a kite! I don't know about you but there is something about flying a kite that always makes me feel young and carefree.

Don't have a kite? Try making one using straws, sticks or flower wire to make a frame. Tissue paper and plastic grocery bags would probably make good flying material. Or check out this site for more detailed instructions! Here is another site with ideas on how to play various games using a kite.

Have fun, if anyone actually does this, please take pictures, I would love to see them!

How fun! I tried flying kites with the kids a couple years ago and couldn't get it off the ground! I was irritated! And then my hubby went with us the following weekend and got it straight up, errrr. O well, we had fun, I don't know why I have so much trouble with it??? Maybe I will have to try it again because it does sound like fun!

Thanks for visiting my site! Your blog title is hilarious!

You know, I've never tried to fly a kite. I know my son would love that!

That is a good idea. I know my little ones love flying kites... we have tons of wind where we live!
